Benjamin Moore’s Color of the Year 2025 is Cinnamon Slate 2113-40, a mix of heathered plum and velvety brown, that strives to embody the "home sweet home" sentiment. This nuanced hue takes center stage following years of more saturated colors, offering a more subdued tone that embraces the softness of everyday life.
Cinnamon Slate Is Benjamin Moore’s Color Of The Year 2025
“Cinnamon Slate is an inviting hue that offers enduring style and modern sensibility. Its depth and richness bring an air of approachability and sense of comfort throughout the home, making it a new favorite for years to come," says Andrea Magno, director, color marketing & design at Benjamin Moore. “As the use of more saturated color in design has increased in recent years, we are seeing a growing interest in more nuanced colors, whose undertones add intricacy and dimension.”
While the 2024 Color of the Year, Blue Nova, embraced a sense of exploration with its nods to the night sky, Cinnamon Slate and its related color trends palette bring the adventure back home.
And what exactly does home look like these days? Warm, according to residential designer Ashton Acosta of In Site Designs, who shared her 2025 color trends predictions with Luxe. "My clients are opting to keep the majority of their home and its finishes neutral, but with a shift towards a warmer palette," says Acosta. "We're moving away from cool whites and grays, embracing beiges, ivories, and browns instead."
Cinnamon Slate's red and brown undertones evoke a richness and depth that homeowners are increasingly eager to incorporate.

Benjamin Moore’s Color Trends Palette 2025
Vibrancy mingles with subtlety in the brand's Color Trends 2025 palette. With a collection spanning noteworthy neutrals to more moody tones, the earthy palette features a range of quietly colorful hues.
One of these standout shades includes Tissue Pink, a soft hue designers can reach for when playing with what's considered neutral. “We’ve been using a lot of subtle blushy pink and nude colors as of late," the design duo behind Cloth + Kind shares with Luxe. "They serve as a luminous neutral backdrop, but with a bit more there-there than a soft white or gray."
Cinnamon Slate and its related palette are sure to pair well with other interior trends gaining momentum, like the inclusion of warm accents and rich wood tones that designers are joyfully embracing. “We are loving warm, earthy tones that make a home feel inviting," shares interior designer Alexis Pew of Kaminski + Pew. "A mix of creamy neutrals, taupe, mossy green, deep rust, and soft browns can create a calming, grounded atmosphere that feels like a retreat from busy daily life."
Other hues in the palette range from the soft and subtle Sea Salt and Glacier White, to more pigmented options like Rosepine and Ashwood Moss. The collection is aptly imbued with a peaceful, polished vibe. All in all, the color palette certainly reflects a number of the 2025 color trends designers are talking about.
