Showcasing one of the many wellness room ideas, Chris and Molly Loughney, the husband-and-wife team behind Phoenix design-build firm Fitch Hill, designed their bathroom to be a calming space. This wellness room features dark marble floor tiles and heavily veined marble countertops that serve as dramatic counterpoints to the Highborn Cabinetry-crafted vanity. The sconces are by Visual Comfort & Co., and the plumbing fixtures are from Kohler.


Place Of Harmonious Reflection

With a soft color palette, the zen bedroom inside a harmonious Lake Tahoe escape serves as a reflective wellness room. Designer Alexandra Loew crafted the bed with Beacon Hill fabric from Robert Allen. A Floatation light by Ingo Maurer hangs from the wood-paneled ceiling, and the banana-silk rug is by J.D. Staron.


Retreat Into The Forest

Just a few steps away from the primary suite, this lap pool that stretches into the surrounding trees is created as a wellness retreat for designer Terri Ricci’s exercise-loving clients. The pool was designed by Barrow, and the Mistra outdoor lounges are by Janus et Cie. The Sommer lounge chairs around the table are from Design Within Reach.


Moved By Wellness Interior Design

Landscape designer Jeff Berghoff surrounded a lagoon-like water feature with lush greenery in this modern courtyard. The space sits between the main living areas and a robust wellness center, crafted by architect C.P. Drewett, designer David Michael Miller and builder Jeremy Meek.


Bask In This Sacred Wellness Room

We wanted it to feel like a temple,” says designer Louanne Low of this zen space powder room. An onyx slab from Meta Marble & Granite makes a glowing backdrop for one of the homeowners’s Buddhas. The custom counter, fabricated by Decorative Metal Arts, holds a Watermark faucet from Chown Hardware. Onyx tile from Statements is on the backsplash; the Maya Romanoff wallcovering is from Trammell-Gagne. The porcelain tile flooring is from Pental Surfaces. California Zen Design

For this Montecito home by designer Mark J. Williams, the goal was to create a zen space. So, the primary suite’s private outdoor terrace includes a spa and outdoor shower surrounded by slender lady palm and frangipani, making it the perfect outdoor wellness room. A Perigold rocking chair offers a comfortable landing spot beside a Kathy Kuo Home table.


Practice Breathwork In This Wellness Room

Custom Edelman leather provides a luxurious covering for the walls and floor of the meditation room. Part of Lisa Friedman’s design for a seaside Connecticut home, she added bleached ash-framed built-ins to house various objets intentional to yoga practice and extra-deep bottom cubby stores mats.

Dekton’s Unsui flooring and Glacier shower walls bring a serene feel to the main bathroom of a modern Houston home designed by Bill Stubbs. Natural light softly filters into the space through a Prexury Smokey Quartz slab by Cosentino. The shower and Wyndham Collection bathtub both feature Kohler fixtures, while the sconce lighting is Ralph Lauren for Visual Comfort & Co. This bathroom is a prime example of wellness room design, blending luxury with tranquility.

Zen garden views brighten the entry of this Miami oasis. A vintage cabinet is tucked under the staircase, which “serves as my gallery space,” designer Bea Pila says. Aragon Construction installed the poplar ceiling near the door. Terrazzo tile flooring from USA Tile and Marble Inc. flows underfoot.

The main bathroom of this Lake Tahoe escape offers a double dose of tranquility thanks to floor-to-ceiling windows and a Zen Bathworks Ofuro Japanese soaking tub surrounded by river rock. Step inside this wellness room by designer Clare Walton that has a harmonious connection with nature.

A pergola just off the living room, situated within the koi pond by the entry, includes custom seating covered in Perennials fabrics and a fire feature. This peaceful retreat makes it the perfect space for wellness. “It instantly sets the mood,” says architect Grant Kirkpatrick, who worked with associates Meghan Beckmann and Todd Paolillo on the project.

In this minimalist California home by Drexel Patterson, a mosaic tile accent wall—in the same material as the nearby shower—behind the primary bathroom’s freestanding Victoria + Albert tub creates a textural moment. Sliding doors connect the wellness room to the outdoors.

RH settees with cushions upholstered in a Perennials fabric create a cozy seating area in this wellness room with beautiful views of the garden. The Mattaliano table was found at Terris Draheim Outdoor and paired with chairs from the designer Christian Grevstad’s own collection. He also designed the light fixture. This layout is a perfect example of wellness room ideas that blend comfort with natural beauty.

“Stuart [Silk] wrapped the house around the site, which gave us the opportunities to create a series of views,” says landscape architect Richard Hartlage, who worked closely with project manager Adrian Coerver on the design. Early on, Hartlage and the owners engaged Nussbaum Group to detail and construct the water feature and landscape. With a backdrop of Lake Washington, this wellness room truly feels like an outdoor sanctuary.


Relax In This Resort-Worthy Oasis

The lower level’s spa is a resort-worthy oasis, with RH Ski House chaises for lounging before the hot tub. And to enhance this wellness room, Soda Mountain Construction added Artemide’s steel-screen Cadmo sconces to diffuse a soft glow.


European Modernism Meets Glam Zen

The living room features an accent wall of slatted oak fabricated by Patrick O’Connell of DLC Builders Inc. to serve as a peaceful space for wellness. Designer Linette Dai also puts an off-white, faux-shearling curved Jayson Home sofa atop a hand-tufted, wool-blend rug by Jaipur Living which contrasts with a black reclaimed-wood table from Four Hands.
