See Bauhaus-Inspired Performance Fabrics With Palm Beach Flair

Melinda Marquardt’s textile and wallcovering brand, The Vale London, debuts its first performance fabrics with the Maddox Collection, inspired by the Bauhaus movement. “Revisiting these concepts felt like a return to my creative roots, reconnecting with the foundational elements of color theory and fine art that first shaped my approach to design,” she says, citing Paul Klee and Josef Albers as influences. View the collection’s 16 patterns—which include woven sheers, Italian bouclé, hand-blocked materials and more—at The Vale London’s new studio and showroom at the Palm Beach Design Collective. “Whether I’m drawing inspiration from the sculptural forms of the area’s architecture, the movement of the ocean or the way the light interacts with different materials, Palm Beach continues to inform our vision,” Marquardt muses.
