Among the growing roster of international art fairs, the Pacific Northwest has been making a splash with the Seattle Art Fair, a showcase of modern and contemporary art from the region and beyond. The fair makes its return this summer July 17–20, with showcases by local, national and international galleries, alongside presentations from local museums and arts organizations. For 2025, the fair shines a spotlight on glass art, an important medium in the Northwest. Local institutions including Pilchuck Glass School and the Museum of Glass in Tacoma will present alongside a regional pop-up installation from New York’s Corning Museum of Glass and gallery exhibitions by glass artists from Pittsburgh to Tokyo. Along with public programming taking place at the fair, such as artist talks and panel discussions, visitors can look forward to dedicated tours and theater programs centered on neon and glass, highlighting Seattle’s role in the growing studio glass movement.
