The Wait Is Over: Here Are The Acclaimed Designers Working On The Kips Bay Dallas Show House

Twenty-seven design creatives have signed on to collaborate on the inaugural Kips Bay Decorator Show House Dallas in the city’s charming neighborhood of Old Preston Hollow.

Following the organization’s location unveiling last month, the French countryside-style estate is bracing for the creative plans of some of the nation’s leading architects and designers—many who call Texas home—all working to benefit the Kips Bay Boys & Girls Club and local non-profit Dwell with Dignity.

Industry professionals like Jan Showers, a Dallas-based designer whose workspaces exude a timeless glamour; Chad Dorsey, a reputable local designer who prides himself on his “relaxed luxury” aesthetic; and Sherry Hayslip, the award-winning designer who wraps an element of surprise into every space she works on, will have their own passion projects on display in the show home.

Other notable names include Michelle Nussbaumer, Cathy Kincaid, Mark D. Sikes and Lauren Rottet, along with contemporary artist Letitia Huckaby, represented by Dallas-based Liliana Bloch Gallery.

“Beyond the visibility and name recognition that participation in the Kips Bay Decorator Show House entails, their dedication and talent will help us reach our fundraising goals this year, which are so crucial to enhancing after-school and enrichment programs for our city’s youth,” said James Druckman, president of the board of the Kips Bay Boys & Girls Club.

Public access to the home runs Sept. 25 through Oct. 25, with proper sanitation and social distancing efforts being put in place to ensure the safety of all visitors.
